+A pesar de los constantes ataques, las autoridades municipales no han puesto en marcha un programa preventivo de seguridad para los visitantes
Por Agencias SFAS/Cozumel, QRoo.- Un nuevo ataque de cocodrilo contra un turista se registró en la isla, y en esta ocasión fue en el hotel Occidental Gran, en plena zona hotelera del sur del municipio.
La víctima fue trasladada a un hospital privado para atender las heridas, mientras personal de Protección Civil recorrieron la zona para atrapar al reptil, sin embargo éste ya había escapado; no obstante más tarde fue avistado en la costa y asegurado.
No obstante que no es la primera vez que ocurre esto, las autoridades municipales no han puesto en marcha un operativo especial, como lo estipulan las normas, para garantizar la seguridad de los turistas ante la presencia de cocodrilos en las playas de la isla. Ni los hoteleros hacen algo al respecto.

CROCODILE ATTACKS TOURIST AT HOTEL OCCIDENTAL GRAN, IN COZUMEL
+Despite constant attacks, the municipal authorities have not launched any preventive program for visitors yet.
By SFAS/Cozumel, Mich.- A new crocodile attack against a tourist was recorded in the island, and on this occasion was at the hotel Occidental Gran, in the middle of the hotel zone in the south of the municipality of Cozumel.
The victim was rushed to a private hospital to treat the wounds, while Civil Protection staff toured the area to try to catch the reptile, however this had already escaped; nevertheless it was later sighted on the coast and insured.
Even that is not the first time that this happens, the municipal authorities have not launched a special operation yet, as stipulated in the rules, in order to ensure the safety of tourists in the presence of crocodiles in the island’s beaches.
