CUBA Y AMÉRICA LATINA TIENEN SU PROPIA VACUNA ANTICOVID-19

Sin discusión, estamos ante un hecho científico histórico: Cuba ha desarrollado la primera vacuna anti Covid-19 la “Abdala” con una eficiencia del 92.8 por ciento, equiparable a las mejores que se han logrado en el llamado primer mundo.
Primeramente, es de reconocerse el talento de los científicos cubanos en muchos órdenes, ahora nos toca destacar todo lo que han logrado en el terreno de la medicina y de los medicamentos.
Nadie puede negar su avance en los campos de la cancerología, de la cardiología, de la geriatría, de la pediatría y en fin en el amplio espectro de la salud. Por eso Cuba ocupa el primer lugar en el mundo en baja mortalidad infantil.
Ahora el propio presidente de Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel, mediante su felicitación a los científicos a cargo del desarrollo de vacunas nacionales, en dar a conocer al mundo el índice de 92.28 por ciento de eficacia del candidato anti Covid-19 Abdala.
Tal hazaña científica no es sólo para la Isla, es como lo decimos en el título de esta entrega, es la primera vacuna desarrollada y confirmada de su gran eficacia en Cuba y en todo América Latina. Es para beneficio sobre todo de los países que luchan día a día contra las hegemonías mundiales
“Es una gran vacuna y el Centro de Ingeniería Genética y Biotecnología (CIGB), es un centro grande con resultados grandes”, precisó el mandatario y agregó: “En nombre de Cuba, felicitaciones”.
Por su parte, la directora del CIGB, Marta Ayala, agradeció a los más de 48 mil voluntarios de la fase III del ensayo de Abdala en las orientales provincias de Santiago de Cuba, Guantánamo y Granma.
‘Es un homenaje a José Martí, a Fidel (Castro), a Raúl (Castro) y a Díaz-Canel, dedicado a los fundadores y a los actuales investigadores’, señaló la experta.
Algunos datos técnicos: El CIGB confirmó la elevada eficacia en esa jornada de su candidato en un esquema de tres dosis, “Cuba tendrá dos vacunas que cumplen los requisitos mínimos de eficacia clínica declarados por la Organización Mundial de la Salud, OMS”: la mencionada Abadala y Soberana 02, que tenía un 62 por ciento en su esquema de dos dosis.
No somos nuevos en el tema, desde que se estaban desarrollando los cuatro candidatos vacunales en la isla, los comentamos en estas entregas. Las investigaciones indudablemente continúan; por ahora nos unimos al regocijo isleño, continental y también mundial porque Cuba y América Latina tienen su propia vacuna anti Covid-19.

CUBA AND LATIN AMERICA HAVE THEIR OWN COVID-19 VACCINE

Without discussion, we are facing a historical scientific fact: Cuba has developed the first vaccine against Covid-19 the «Abdala» with an efficiency of 92.8 percent, comparable to the best that have been achieved in the so-called first world.
First of all, the talent of Cuban scientists in many areas must be recognized, now we have to highlight all that they have achieved in the field of medicine and medicines.
No one can deny its advancement in the fields of cancerology, cardiology, geriatrics, pediatrics and finally in the broad spectrum of health. That is why Cuba ranks first in the world in low infant mortality.

For her part, the director of the CIGB, Marta Ayala, thanked the more than 48,000 volunteers from phase III of Abdala’s trial in the eastern provinces of Santiago de Cuba, Guantánamo and Granma.

Some technical data: The CIGB confirmed the high efficacy of its candidate on that day in a three-dose scheme, «Cuba will have two vaccines that meet the minimum requirements of clinical efficacy declared by the World Health Organization, WHO»: the aforementioned Abadala and Soberana 02, which was 62 percent on their two-dose schedule.
